Hi Ho Hi Ho, A Hippity Hopping We Will Go…

Welcome to my blog everybody and to the ‘Eureka Stampers Hippity Hop Blog Hop’. It’s all so very exciting. This is the first ever blog hop that I have been a part of and I feel so honoured and privileged to join this amazing Easter Sp-egg-tacular Hop…

Together, we are the ‘Eureka Stampers’ and in our team, we have an astonishing group of extremely talented demonstrators and combined, we have come together to showcase for you an Easter Egg-stravaganza!

While you are hippity hopping around our blogs, make sure you leave some love. I believe you have come from the gorgeous Rose Packer’s Creative Roses blog and after me, over to the delightful Heather McCarthy. I wonder what surprises and inspiring projects Heather has to show?!

I am going to share with you all a card and a 3D project I have created using the cutest little rabbit from the ‘Baby, We’ve Grown’ stamp set. It goes to show that this set doesn’t just have to be used for baby cards. It can be a little more versatile than that…

I got the idea of using the egg carton to decorate as a 3D item while I was at work…. packing eggs. And it just grew from there. I managed to find a carton with only a little advertising on it and what little advertising that was on there, I covered in our Crisp Cantaloupe spotty DSP. One of my go-to DSP packs and colours. Can you believe these In Colors are retiring soon? They are my favourite In Colors to date and I am going to be so sad to see them go!

For a bit of glamour, you can’t go past a bit of ‘Gold Soirée’ DSP. It suits the project to a T with it’s beautiful, stylish and yet subtle colours, with hints of gold and floral patterns adorning it’s sheets. Perfect for Easter. And just a touch of softness added with some white filter paper ruffled out with the Fringe Scissors.

I must mention how versatile are the Stampin’ Up! scallop circle punches are. They are a fantastic accompaniment to any project and are perfect for layering which is how I’ve used them for this particular project. A little stamping and fussy cutting for the banner and the bunny and we are almost done. Believe it or not, this project was quite quick to make. The bunny looked a little bare just stamped out, so I grabbed my trusty Blender Pens and two matching stamp pads (Baked Brown Sugar for his fur, Calypso Coral for his bow ties and Crisp Cantaloupe for his tummy) and added a small splash of colour. A bling Basic Pearl added to his bow tie because he’s a bit of a fashionista, some Dimentionals to make him ‘POP’ up on the scallop punches and he’s done!

Now, I couldn’t just share with you this little project without making a matching card, could I?! It just wouldn’t seem right…

Combining and using almost all the elements of my 3D project, I created this simple, cute, yet stylish card to give with the decorated egg carton. What a great little gift this would make! Just fill the carton with chocolates, little eggs, seeds or whatever takes your fancy, write out the card and violá, you’ll make someone very happy!IMG_0585
