Mojo Monday Meets Build A Birthday

Now that I have a blog, I want to try my best to keep it constantly updated. I want to stay fresh, new and inspired so I’ve been asking around and scouring sketch challenges… And I think I’m addicted! Today’s card was inspired by Mojo Monday’s latest sketch challenge.

Trying my best to get the most out of my brand new, pre-order stamp sets and also getting ready for my Catalogue Launch Kitchen Tea, I want to make and create as many cards and creations as I possibly can!  I hadn’t got my new set ‘Build A Birthday’ inky yet and I thought that it many elements and fun shapes would suit the sketch perfectly. Also, adding a dash of my new ‘Cherry On Top DSP Paper Stack’ for a bit of flair and it also determined my colour palette for this card. This little stack is a great size, perfectly suited to cards, scrapbooking and Project Life, with its 6″x6″ format. This project wouldn’t be complete with a few strips of Cherry On Top washi tape and, of course, some Basic Rhinestone bling added for good measure! The totally adorable In Color Blossom Accents are my favourite ‘go-to’ accent at the moment and I just may need to invest in another pack already! (And they may or may not have covered up a little bit of an inky smudge.)

Totally digging the bright colour palette which usually isn’t my style and a bit out of my comfort zone, I may have to give it a try more often. I am also loving the layered effect of this stamp set and washi tape and the use of the Circle Framelits. There are so many ways to use this ‘Build A Birthday’ stamp set and there are lots of ideas popping up in my head. Also, layering and lining these stamps all up is super easy, as this is a Stampin’ Up! Photopolymer set. It is clear, which means you can see through it, making lining up and stamping super easy! No Stamp-A-Ma-Jig needed here!

Happy crafting,
