Mother’s Day At The Thrifty Minx

On the first Tuesday of this month,  I held a Mother’s Day class at the new and beautiful establishment , the Thrifty Minx, in my local country town of Ballan. It is a great little place where they sell barista made coffee, homemade soup, yummy sweet treats, and an eclectic mix of wares from shoes, to clothes, to furniture, to fresh flowers and everything in between.

The Thrifty Minx all lit up and the windows filled with various eclectic displays on the night of my Mother’s Day class.

The Thrifty Minx is also lucky enough to house a fabulous lofty space upstairs which can be hired out for all sorts of functions. I decided to take the plunge and host a up class there.

The Loft space all set up and awaiting the arrival of the Vintage Graffiti Thrifty Minx craft ladies! What a great space decorated with fabulous curiosities.

With a little bit of advertising and some help from the main Thrifty Minx herself, Sarah, we had quite a few ladies booked in to come and have a lovely night of fun crafting, creating, chatting, eating and drinking. Everything was supplied to make the projects as well as tasty coffee and a homemade apple an berry crumble cake served with a dollop of double cream.

On the night, we created a beautiful and bright Mother’s Day card-in-a-box and a matching apothecary jar, decorated with flowers, sequins, ribbon and butterflies. The jar itself was to be used a tea light holder and inside it housed a fragrant, soy, hand poured candle, handmade by my neighbours over at Em & Hannah’s Candles. A gift that any Mum would love and treasure!

Say tuned for another blog post to see photos of my Mother’s Day creations.

Happy stamping,
From your favourite Vintage Graffiti Artist,
Emma xo
